Always more than you expect!
Born and raised on Mt. Hood, Sandi Strader knows well the special qualities of life her clients are searching for when they come to this area. Walks in the woods, playing in the creek, climbing trees and close relationships with her two sisters and family formed a strong foundation for her future. Honesty, hard work and long term relationships were a required part of life on the mountain.
For twenty years Sandi raised her daughter, Shana, in a similar lifestyle in Sandy. Shana graduated 2003 from Oregon Health & Science University as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and now works at Mid Columbia Hospital. Shana married Mike Hay at Timberline Lodge in 2007. Shana and Mike have made their home in Hood River. Sandi's parents have lived in the same home on Sleepy Hollow Drive since 1946, and have been involved with many facets of the local area over the years. Her father is a retired contractor, which provided Sandi early experience with construction, the roots of real estate.
Sandi's professional background focused on financial management, being a Regional Credit Manager for Nike and previously with Portland General Electric. Sandi has owned her own businesses since 1984. Attention to details and wise decision making are her top priorities for clients.
Sandi has been a Realtor since 1992, specializing in properties from downtown Portland to Mt. Hood. Her credentials include ABR– Accredited Buyer Representative, CRS- Certified Residential Specialist, e-PRO-Internet Professional and GRI– Graduate of the Realtor Institute. Sandi has been in the "10 agents" or “Top 10%” of 300 agents in eight offices at Oregon Realty from 2000-2009.
For six years Sandi owned a busy horse stable in Zig Zag, in addition to real estate.
